The Congo Rainforest is located across Central Africa, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon. It is the second largest rainforest in the world, after the Amazon.
How to protect for future generations:
Prevention of deforestation and logging for housing and the railway will benefit for future generations, so they can see all of the amazing views that the Congo Rainforest offers. If not, the wildlife and the views will be lost forever. Fortunately the Central African Republic is protecting the rainforest, but it is still being used for wood, and if nothing is done, it will be lost forever.
Human interaction
People have chopped down trees and they have built a railway through it, but now people are not cutting down trees as much, and they have beautiful views to admire, and they can get there by foot, or by rail.
The Congo Ocean Railway
The Congo Ocean Railway runs from Point Noire to Brazzaville, straight through the Congo Rainforest. It was opened in the 1920's by the French. This railway is pretty much people of Congo's transportation lifeline, as there are very little roads, and they can get crowded very quickly, which makes the railway very important.
