The Gondwana Rainforests are located across New South Wales and Queensland eastern borders. There are more than 50 reserves in this area that have been there for over millions of years.
How to protect for future generations:
In 2000 UNESCO decided to put parts of the gondwana rainforest on the world heritage list and on May 15 2007, the gondwana rainforest was added to the national heritage list. By doing this, it means that we are conserving this rainforest for future generations.
